so i just finished writing about a 2 page update for this journal.
then i realized.
i don't want to bore you with the details. i'll get straight to the point
i went to matt's final hockey game... the championship game. the thing that made this game different was that i came with his family since it was an hour away. and then i went to dinner with him, his family, the team and their families. 10 things i learned yesterday: 1) people talk. and usually you can tell when they're talking about you. hello! i'm not deaf nor blind. (i'm talking about hockey moms here) 2) going along with #1... people ask questions. they're not shy about coming up to you, chit chatting about the weather and then asking you "are you matt's girlfriend"? 3) when i think i'm intruding, i get quiet. very quiet. 4) when you see someone you care about being estactically happy, you can't help but smile ear to ear. even if you your whole body is shaking from shivering because you've spent the last 3 hours in an ice arena, or you are standing on the team's bench with a whole crowd of hockey moms in front of you. 5) winning is a lot more fun than losing (they won 4-0) 6) his dad is one of the nicest person i've ever met. 7) new york ruben= turkey! 8) by being unusually quiet can lead to a boy to ask you the most crazy/weird/desperate questions ("are you a snow person?"). maybe i was unintentionally playing hard to get. i just didn't want to get in the way of his celebrating with the boys. but by the way he was acting, he could care less about the guys. when he admitted he recently had a dream about him seeing "you've lost that lovin feelin" with leprechauns, i knew that he was really diggin deep to get me to talk. 9) hockey sticks, banners, dads, and brothers can really shoot down your confindence when you think about making a move in a car. 10) chivalry is NOT dead... well at least to his dad. when i got out of the car his dad said "now matt, you walk her to her car and then wipe off any snow off her car". i should've taken full advantage of this but my car was in a snow bank and i was wearing uggs, so i did one side of the car.
i gave him a hug and told him i would see him on monday. and then i had to call him when i got home to tell his mom i got home safely (she was going to make his dad take me home).
overall it was a nerve wrecking, positive experience. but it only made me realize that i... we cannot go on like this. something needs to be said. as a very wise lj friend ( arielei) once said: boys are stressful and wonderful and nothing and everything all at once"
so to change this subject: i would like to give a shot out to my hottest friends, steph and christina cause they're are the hottest pillow fighting biatches this side of detroit!.... you guys crack me up so much
and what's this... straight 1's at festival?!?!?!?!? :D it's been a good weekend!

i'm such a slacker.
i'm just now starting my 6th AP essay. gahhhhhhhhhh.
Yesterday was quite a ironic day. I went to church with my grandma and saw that guy that "we don't speak off cause he's a whackjob". And it was a year ago that i asked him to my homecoming. LMAO. My mom got mad at me when i didn't say hi to him and she did. So after mass I did say hi. it was awkward. I think I officially have ruined his dating life for the next 5 years tops. Such a weird kid.
I got my hair highlighted. And it's really reallly really blonde. (surprise!)
Funny story: So we were driving over to my grandma's new house when my mom says that grandma told her that after I had taken her shopping that there was this guy that was playing basketball across the street, and after i left, everytime my grandma would go outside he would look. So then she watched him through the window (hahahha my grandma cracks me up) and according to her, he would shoot the ball, then look over to her house and repeat...so on and so on. I had seen that guy, he was tall blonde, and sucked at basketball. But hey, he seems around my age. So when we went to pick up my grandma yesterday, he was getting picked up by his friend. What timing. So my mom made me go and help my grandma walk to the car. As we were walking this guy was leaving and my grandma points and says: "He's definently not looking at grandma!". Gotta love grandmas. So now next weekend my mom is going to make me garden in her front yard. gahhhhh that's not obvious at all mom!
so now i'm going to force myself to do AP english. I don't care if i'm here all night.

Today my parents are at Uncle Lukes for an "ADULT ONLY" bocce ball 4th of july party. So i'm stuck here with my brothers. Aunt Leah was going to leave me her car, but she said mabye later in the week when i know where i'm going. (but i do already!) my tenative schedule: mon: ? (LI childrens museum or beach?) tues: ? Our view tomorrow from the dinner cruise: ( Memorial day weekend 06!!!! )
I'm so excited. Watch for our marching band on the Pentagon Network! (hahah nobody gets that channel, except for mr. Kopec!)
ps. I really really love this show... a lot. I watched today, and I wanted to be a little kid again. But I still enjoy it! ( hanging with ms. Frizzle on the magic school bus ) I ♥ the Frizz, Pheobe, and all the other characters on that show. the mantra of the show is
"TAKE CHANCES, MAKE MISTAKES, GET MESSY!"
And I think that I should take that to heart and live it up!

I don't want to go to OYO. It's kind of like, if you know you're going to get into a car crash and people will look at you like an idiot from that point on, you just don't drive that day. Well I have to drive today. If they can't deal with some fuck-ups, then deal. I'm only human. unlike the soul-less music-obsessed kids that occupy the symphony. ( lately... )
Last night was forensics showcase. Another thing I was dreading. I had never preformed for my mom before. I screwed up a couple times. But my mom cried during it, so I guess I was okay. ( my final verdict on this so-called dance... )
Jordan Crockett is probably the funniest kid ever. That's why I love extended period at the end of the day. ("We went on a roadtrip to Kansas city to go to a stripper bar... and ran over MUNTZY!) 12 minutes till I have to leave for OYO. ugh.
One good thing: I got a new iPod. I <3 Apple x 10^bajillion. ( this is going to break me clean in two.... )

Do you think Jack Johnson could be related to me?
I wish. But that would be amazing. I adore his work and his latest video is pretty amusing. ( Sitting, waiting, wishing... +1 )
